CASTING
PANDORA PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES
AUDITIONS FOR
2008-2009 SEASON
Pandora
Productions is pleased to announce her 2008-2009 Season and needs actors to
fill roles in 7 great shows - expanding from a 5 show season in
2007-2008. A familiarity of the plays being produced is advisable but not
essential. Seeking 16 women and 15 men for the season. Women
singer/actors interested in PULP should prepare 16 bars of a blues or jazz
number, accompanist provided. All actors please bring headshots and
resumes. Besides actors interested in the musical no other preparation is
necessary. Auditions will be held on June 30th and July 2nd
at Central Presbyterian Church from 6:30 – 10 p.m. for the following
productions:
THE
LARAMIE PROJECT by Moises Kaufmann and Tectonic Theatre
Project, paints a picture of Matthew Shepard from the thoughts of people who
knew him. Running in rep with:
STOP
KISS by Diana Son is a funny, poignant, horrifying, and
finally inspiring urban play.
FIRST
COUPLE by Jefferson Beeker, reflects the current political
climate as Blair Tyler, a young gay Congressman, suddenly finds himself
President of the United.
PULP by
Patricia Kane, a campy, noirish, musical comedy.
THE
LITTLE DOG LAUGHED by Douglas Carter Beane, explores the
professional problems of secrecy and more subtle forms of self-deception.
BENT by
Martin Sherman, reveals an oft-overlooked aspect of the Nazi campaign against
human rights and human dignity. Running in rep with: I AM MY OWN
WIFE by Doug Wright, based on a true story was the winner of
the 2004 Pulitzer Prize and the 2004 Tony Award. The one role in this
show is already cast! We are very proud to announce that Roger Fristoe, former theatre critic of the Courier Journal, has agreed to take on this very challenging role.
Pandora
will once again perform at the beautiful Henry Clay, 604 S. Third Street
(corner of 3rd & Chestnut) in the Bunbury Theatre space on the 3rd
